Brenda's Real Bluesharp Band

New and upcoming, unexpectedly fresh and old fashioned, traditional with a twist. The contradictory characteristics of a band consisting of solid body electric lever harp, guitar (Franklin Smith), electric bass (Ed de Jong), and drums (Stephen Caruana). Good old fashioned blues music, spiced up with some fun rock 'n roll stuff, fine rock ballads, and the occasional country song. Lots and lots of strings

30 strings: a cool sparkly blue electric solid body harp. Cool blues, nice little songs, and funky improv when planted next to a DJ. Add Sabine Meijers with her superb chrome electric chromatic harp and there you have it: 77 strings altogether. 47 strings: a beautiful amplified big black harp. Great jazz, solo or... with violin: 51 strings. Virtuoso funky improv, with or without a DJ. Double the harpistry: with 2 big black beautiful harps, 94 strings is the max.

It's not about playing alone. Brenda and Sabine are the founding directors of the Jazz Harp Foundation, THE international platform for professional and amateur jazz harp players and all who want to learn or enjoy jazz harp. The international Jazz Harp Foundation organizes and takes part in all kinds of educational events around the globe.
